  • Note that the project lead defaults to the account owner or the person responsible for the account.

  • If needed, update the project lead to the estimator or team member accountable for the bid.

  • Leave optional fields blank if the information is not available yet.

6. Create the Project

  • After verifying the required information, click Create Project.

  • Confirm the project is created successfully and appears in the system.

  • Proceed with the next project setup steps as needed.

Cautionary Notes

  • Required fields: The project cannot be created unless Project Name and Project Lead are completed.

  • Source selection matters: Make sure you choose the correct starting point (Drawing Set or Aerial Imagery) before continuing.

  • Default project lead: The system may auto-fill the project lead based on the account owner; verify this is the correct person before creating the project.

  • Optional fields: Address, client, start date, and bid due date are optional, but adding them early can help keep project records organized.

Best Practices

  • Prepare the project name and lead before starting to reduce setup time.

  • Add client and address details when available to make the project easier to identify later.

  • If your team uses clients frequently, create or select the client record first so it can be linked during project setup.

  • Review the form once before clicking Create Project to avoid having to edit the project immediately after creation.
